polar express

Last evening Lance, Myla and I went on the Polar Express train ride event. We had a great time with all our friends and their little ones. We boarded at Fitgers Brewery Complex and then road like 10 blocks to the Depot. The Train was great and all decorated, the kids really enjoyed the ride.

Above is Isaac, Conner, Myla and Beatrice playing peekaboo and screaming for fun!! Once we arrived at the depot we watched a very large model train. We then went to an area were they read POLAR EXPRESS. All the kids received a bell and had a visit with Santa. Myla was not excited to see Santa at all. She clung on to me tightly so we just said hello to Santa.

All the kids ringing their bells!! Again it was a great time for us all and we recommend you go if you get a chance. Thanks for the pictures Jessica.....of course my camera ran out of batteries as soon as I got on the train...

parade

Friday evening was the 42 annual Christmas City of the North parade. My Mom came up for the night. Auntie KK, Grandma, Myla and I got all bundled up and watched the parade. Despite the crazy chain smoking people around us and an every present cop blocking Myla's view of the parade we had a good time.

silly little girl

Myla decided to be a crazy little girl last evening. She ripped through the newspaper, was running back and forth from the kitchen to the living room and playing in the cat's water dish. Finally we were all in the kitchen and this funny video transpired. Enjoy

Candy Hangover

Myla had a great Halloween. We had to work at the YMCA in the morning- but the kids were encouraged to come in their costumes and we took them trick or treating through the Y. Myla had so much fun and by the end was already trying to get some candy in her mouth.

We then came home and Myla had nice nap. We got Myla's kitty costume on again and went to visit Aunte KK at work. She got lots of ohhs and ahhs on her costume and got a lot of candy. We also visited Lance at his work.

After we came home and had dinner, Myla and I went and visited a friends and her daughter that our in our neighborhood. We then did a little trick or treating-but it was cold up here. Myla helped us pass out candy to kids that came to our house. Enjoy the pictures!!

Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Myla and hosted a small Halloween party yesterday for our friends. We had tons of fun eating good food and playing with our friends. We decorated halloween cookies, made special halloween bags and got special treat bag to each child. Myla was dressed up as a bunny, but during a diaper changing she peed all over her costume.

home sweet home

We got back from Winona yesterday. Had a great trip visiting with Lance's parents, grandparents and Aunt and Uncle. We took a trip to Lance's Great Uncle Leo's apple tree farm, we got tons of tasty apples and a wonderful visit. Uncle Leo is a great guy with tons history and knowledge of life, I enjoyed my long-winded visit with him!!

We also went to the Prairie Island Rendezvous, which is a group of people that come together to recreate the 1820-1840's as pilgrims, fur traders and Native Americans. It was very cool with knife through, cannon shooting and tepees all around.

The video is from the Visit with Great Grandma Jenny and Great Grandpa Doc's house. Myla just loved the teddy.

rainy Thursday

Thursday Oct. 18th --- Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!

Myla and I work at the YMCA childcare center, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Myla loves being there playing with all the other kids, going down a big slide and running around this huge place.

This is a picture of Myla, Rylee and Payton going down the slide together. Over all work is pretty fun, we do get busy sometimes and it gets a little crazy-but it is a lot of fun to see all these other kids growing up and learning new things everyday! But then the parents come in and well let me just say this, you think parents would be respectful and kind to the people that take care of their children. It is amazing the amount of parents that are not. Don't get me wrong many are very nice, but some I just can't believe. Anyway the job is fun for Myla and extra money for the house!

This weekend Myla, Lance and I are headed to Winona to visit Lance's folks, Jane and Mike. I am looking forward to the visit and am excited to get out of Duluth. I am hoping to check out a apple orchard or pumpkin patch on Saturday, Myla would enjoy that. Other than that we will relax, visit and have fun. The picture is from Jenny(lance' younger sister) and Mike's wedding this last May. Lance, his mom, his Dad, old brother Brian, his wife Andy and their daughter Alaina (their 2nd child Chloe is not yet born in this picture), Grandma Jenny, Mike the groom, Jenny the bride, Myla and Me!

Umm Word, A shout out to KK and TT! thanks for the hospitality last evening.

Hello out there

Hello out there-

I thought that this may be a good idea to start a blog since we have so many family and friends around the US and world. This will be a fun way for me to fill everyone in on the Voelker family happenings.

So to night Myla and I have our last swim class. We are taking aquababies at the YMCA. Myla really enjoys her time in the water. She can jump off the edge to us, kick, scoop her arms a bit and will lay on her back and kick. She is also in the class with her friend Connor and his Mom Michaela. enjoy the pics
